In a leaked company email, Elon Musk shared his six rules for productivity (and they are surprisingly good):

1) Avoid large meetings
Don’t schedule a large meeting unless everybody gains from it.

2) Ditch frequent meetings
Don’t disrupt your team’s workflow unless absolutely necessary.

3) Leave if you’re not contributing
Leaving a meeting is not rude. But wasting everybody’s time is.

4) Forget the chain of command
Communicate directly with colleagues instead of through supervisors and managers.

5) Be clear, not clever
Avoid technical language and make the message easy to understand.

6) Use common sense
Rules are not meant to be applied uniformly. Follow principles instead of rules.
